The T.O.W. Update

Reclaimed Redgum Post Well its been a while, but should get here a bit more often now
Will be a part the the Wood Working exhibition at the Lavender Farm at
105 Quayle Road, Wandin Yallock 3139
From
6 – 21 September 2014
10am to 4pm

Hope to see you there.

Spun up a few interesting pieces recently, one is shown here.
It is a 100 year old plus old fence post from east gipsland area with a TOW Time In Space clock mounted in it.

The T.O.W. Update

Well folks, finally back to a few rambleings about what been happening in the TOW woodturning world.
Slabbed a 100 plus year old messmate tree with a couple of mates a few weeks back and am hoping that is dries out without to much checking and cracking. Will still be 4-5 years till i can get to use it but if it works out it will be stunning as it is full of fiddleback.
Would be ideal for turning blanks as well as some very pretty table tops.
The last trip to Tassie saw some stunning blackwood and Huon Pine logs picked up and milled and now will have to wait for those to dry out.
Will spin up a few pieces wet from the Messmate and if they work out ok i will upload a few pics to the gallery page on the website.
Still have a few shear sanders at the reduced price as listed, $65.00 plus P&P
Once gone will have to consider if i can continue manufacturing locally as very hard to compete with inported products.

Regards
Mr T.O.W

The T.O.W. update

Hi folks,Well have moved into a new larger workshop that also came with a new house.
Funny about that.
After moving machinery and large amounts of timber we are back in front of the lathe, finally.
Tis the busy time of year as we gear up for the silly season. So will be turning out all sorts of old and new ideas.
Will have lots of lammiated cutting boards out of vic ash and blackwood and some new lamps of varied designs soon. Will try to get a few of them in my Gallery page, so please check them out.
If your are looking for some unique timber gifts or something for yourself let me know and i will see what i can do.

Cheers
